Mindset is #1 When Changing BehavioursSep 28, 2021
"My clients have turned typically negative experiences, like weight loss and exercise into the catalyst for them to feel like their best self every single day." - Jordanna Nativ
If you've ever wondered why it's so hard to get your learners or clients to create lasting behaviour change, that's because you may be missing an important element — Mindset.
I recently interviewed Jordanna Nativ, a Team Strong Girls coach, Certified Eating Psychology Coach and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. She coaches her clients towards incredible transformations by digging deep into mindset, helping clients and students overcome their own hurdles to success.
Jordanna is passionate about helping her clients shine. She credits them for doing the hard work and showing up ready to transform. When working with Jordanna, you can expect results and an education that will last a lifetime.
We discuss strategies you should be incorporating into your course content.
Any course creator or business owner who is designing a learning experience for their clients can apply these techniques and strategies.
Use marketing strategies to create personalized content
Drawing from the world of online marketing, we can find useful tactics to apply to learning design. Personalization makes learners feel heard, seen, and more engaged. Find ways within even an automated program to segment your audience and send more personalized content their way. Include their name and any data that you can collect through your technology platform to let them feel heard.
Become familiar with your target client
Your learners have distinct needs. You need to find out what those needs are. Do this by talking to your audience. Meet them where they are and do research. You can interview, survey, conduct focus groups or observe people in action through one-to-one or service based client interactions. This information will serve you as you create more scalable digital courses and online experiences.
Strategies to make courses more finishable
A course is often only effective when a participant completes the thing. This is where the online course industry is struggling. Completion rates are super low, below 15% on average. This means courses aren't effective enough. They're not engaging, not retaining and could benefit from an update. Before you do this on your own, reach out and connect with Your Greatest Work Mastermind. It's our group program to support you as you make your program finishable and transformative.
Skip years of wasted effort
Jordanna and I talk about the ups and downs of her first course launch. We both recognized that initial launches can be "failures" but we can keep moving forward and prepare better for the next round. However, you can skip years of wasted effort, with time and money thrown in the trash by getting advice on the right structure for your program. Book a call to find out how we can help you.
